Product Activation Step by Step Guide.
This step by step guide walks you through the process of the production activation used for our commercial products. As you can see this is painless and very easy to complete.
Welcome
Products that require licensing, and trials that have expired, will start by launching the activation wizard. You will be warned of the failure to find a valid license, and are now invited to complete the activation.
Activation Type
There are two types of activation, the first being for full activation when you have purchased a license and serial number. The second option is for trial licenses, or to complete an offline activation. To follow the I have an activation key and wish to install it path, move to the Activation Response page.
Activation Details
When purchasing a license you are required to supply your company or organisation name, which must now be entered correctly again. You are also asked for your serial number as supplied when your purchase was completed. The serial number uniquely identifies your purchase and should be kept private.
Activation Method One
To activate the product your details entered previously must be compared against our records to enable use to issue a securely signed activation response. This can be done immediately and automatically from within the wizard, however this does require internet access from the current machine. If this is not available, you can choose to activate offline, which moves you to the Activation Request page.
Online Request
This simple progress dialog will be shown whilst our licensing server is contacted for the automatic online activation. Once complete you will move to the Finish page.
Activation Request
For offline activations, the request data is provided for you to submit manually through the License Activation page. This will then be validated and the securely signed activation response produced. You can then move to the Activation Response page to complete the process. If you cannot process the request immediately, then you can cancel the wizard and return at a later time to complete, simple choose the second option from the Activation Type page above, to go directly to the Activation Response page.
Activation Response
Submit your activation responses here, to complete the process. You will then be moved to the Finish page.
Finish
The final page confirms your successful activation. Close the wizard to start using your fully activated product.
